Vacancy : HR Manager (R500 -R650K pa)

There are two Human Resource Manager positions available. These are generalist roles and based at different divisions. The HR Managers will be responsible for generalist HR duties within the Group and will report to the HR Executive.


§ HR strategic interventions.

§ Co-ordinate and facilitate the Human Resources functions of the company.

§ Assist staff with their HR related queries and offer prompt response.

§ Liaise with service providers (labour brokers).

§ Ensure compliance to industry agreements (job grades, rates of pay, etc.)

§ Liaise with labour unions, including arranging and attending monthly shop steward meetings and feedback meetings.

§ Oversee annual industry wage increase implementation.

§ Prepare and direct HR audits to ensure HR admin best practices are exercised.

§ Offer full assistance on co-ordination of employee motivation surveys.

§ Co-ordination of staff training and record training statistics.

§ Leave administration – verify leave reports, monitor and manage leave trends and distribute monthly reports to Management.

§ Promote and co-ordinate employee benefits administration services.

§ Recruitment and Selection – analysing CVs and candidates and arranging and attending interviews.

§ Monitor and manage performance and facilitate annual / bi-annual reviews.

§ Preparation and active participation in BEE audits, implementation and transformation process.

§ Counselling and assistance with preparations for disciplinary enquiries, investigations etc.

§ Co-ordination of management feedback sessions.

§ Training and development of staff – including compiling development plans for individuals as well as monitoring and implementing the same.

§ Terminations – assistance in line with exit procedures and policies.

§ Team Forums – monitor effectiveness of team forums and participate in meetings with all teams. Training and key issues will also be conducted in the team forum sessions as required.

§ Employment Equity & Skills Development – arrange and attend committee meetings, monitor and review plans in place and ensure timeous submission of required reports.

§ Participation in the management team – must be able to provide meaningful information for decision making purposes and to have an active role in staff management. Will be responsible for reporting in the monthly divisional board reports as well as the annual strategic plans.



§ HR related tertiary qualification (Bachelors degree)

§ Advanced labour law will be advantageous

§ Knowledge

§ Basic knowledge of latest relevant labour legislation

§ Good understanding of SEIFSA Main Agreement

§ Sound understanding of BEE Codes, implementation and monitoring

§ Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures


§ Computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
